My business doesn't operate in Delaware, but I need to register a trade name here. I don't have a Trade Name Only license from the Division of Revenue.
Before you can register a trade name, you'll need to get a Trade Name Only Business License from the Delaware Division of Revenue.
Once you've obtained this license, you'll be able to register your trade name. Please note:
- This license must be renewed each year to keep your trade name active.
- After completing and paying the license registration, you'll return here to complete your trade name registration on One Stop.
- If you close this session after obtaining a Trade Name Only License but before completing your trade name registration, this will delay the registration process as you will have to wait for full reconciliation of your new license payment to proceed.
- Trade Name–Only Licenses are not subject to the same stringent requirements as other Division of Revenue licenses such as Gross Receipts or Business Income Tax filings — however, you must provide a Certificate of Good Standing from the Delaware Division of Corporations.
